            Great Basin Heritage Artist, Margaret Ann Pense, was honored as
"One of America's Top Ten Hitchers" by the Western Academy of
Artists in 1998.  She has been a featured artist at numerous exhibitions
throughout the West, including "Women's Work ~ Gear and Photography
by Western Women" at the Western Folklife Center in Elko, Nevada;
"Trappings of Texas" at the Museum of the Big Bend in  Alpine, Texas;
and "I See By Your Outfit You Are A Cowboy" at the Sun Valley Center
for the Arts and Humanities in Ketchum, Idaho.

at the edge of Baker, six miles from the entrance to Great Basin National
Park.  You'll enjoy a spectacular unobstructed view of Great Basin National
Park, starry nights and close encounters with Great Basin wildlife from your
own deck.  Baker's original "bed-and-bring-your-own breakfast"! You'll have
your own kitchenette, two comfortable bedrooms all to yourself and a large
bathroom with a shower and tub.  Sleeps 1-3 guests.
